Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to bring balance to the mind and body.

A personalised consultation to establish your tailored aromatherapy plan, using your health and wellness needs to find the right essential oils to fit your goals.

We will look at a variety of essential oils within the session and create two products for you to use at home to help benefit you physically and emotionally. Products may be massage oils, pulse point roller balls, shower gels and face/body creams, etc.

A follow up consultation will be offered to see how you are getting on with your bespoke products, this can be done by telephone or video call.

The treatment usually lasts approximately 60 minutes and is priced at £50 per session.

Children's Reflexology

Reflexology for children can be hugely beneficial for relaxation and supporting their mental health needs. The treatment is adapted to suit children by reducing the treatment time and being slightly more gentle on pressure. I have worked with many children including those with stomach issues, anxiety, ADHD, autism, sleep issues and facial squints.

Price is £30 per 30 min session. This is a mobile service where I will come to your own home with my equipment to perform the treatment. Children's Reflex Instruction

Children's Reflex has been developed to help older children where their parents may wish to create their own treatments at home to help with sleep issues, digestive problems and improving mental health. A specialised treatment plan can be devised with expert guidance and support from myself to help you create a relaxing experience for your children aged 2-16.

You may wish to be taught the techniques in the absence of your child there in order to find the most responsive time for them in the home environment, as you may find your child is more open to a treatment when they are tired and quiet before bed time. I will give you the skills to provide a wonderfully nurturing experience for both of you.

Children's Reflex can be delivered where a simple treatment plan will be agreed and practiced with resources and notes. It can also be offered as a more in depth learning experience which will involve 2 x 1 hour sessions, an additional catch up session can be held via video call if required. We will agree on a treatment plan and you will be given all resources and a weekly diary to record any changes in things like mood, sleep and digestion.

This is a mobile service within the areas of most of North Shropshire, including Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry, Whitchurch and surrounding towns and villages or it can be completed as an online video class.

Crystal Therapy

Crystal Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that aims to bring balance to an individuals energy.

Intuitively chosen crystals are placed on and around the client to help clear energy blockages through the 7 main chakra points.

What happens during a treatment?

You will be asked to lie down on a treatment couch and made comfortable under a blanket, there is no need to remove any clothing other than your shoes and any jewellery that may get in the way.

I will spend some time connecting with your energy and opening the chakra points, from this I will get a good idea about which chakras need more attention. Crystals will then be chosen for their properties to best support you during the session. You may feel relaxed and sleepy during the treatment and it is common that you may feel a bit emotional afterwards.

Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology has all of the same benefits and qualities as traditional foot reflexology, but with the added benefit of a rejuvenating effect on the skin and tissues of the face and neck. Gentle sweeping motions and gentle pressure is applied to the different reflex points on the face to promote balance and harmony whilst relieving stress. This is a 45 minute stress-buster treatment including a cleanse and massage.

The Bergman Method of Facial Reflexology was developed over 20 years ago and based on William Fitzgerald’s theory of Zone Therapy.

It will also ask you some questions about your skin type so that I can best tailor the products I use during your treatment. At your appointment you will be asked to remove any jewellery from the neck, ear or facial area, you may wish to remove your shoes for comfort but there is no need to undress.

The Facial Reflexology treatment will begin with a relaxing facial cleanse using Neal's Yard Organic Remedies products suited for your skin type. A gentle sweeping massage will then be used to apply the facial oil giving you an opportunity to relax and unwind. A 30 minute stress buster treatment will be used to target key reflex points, aiming to reduce anxiety and relive symptoms of stress.

Contraindications

As well as the common contraindications that may prevent a treatment from happening (infections, coldsores, wounds, etc), there are a few others to consider when booking a Facial Reflexology treatment.

• Face lift surgery - cannot treat until after 3 months of surgery
• Botox injections - the nature of reflexology may reduce the effects of Botox, treat after 3 weeks of injections

Facial Sculpt

Face Sculpt incorporates elements from Ayurvedic principals and Traditional Chinese Medicine to create a tailored skincare routine, a facial treatment and facial exercises to help improve skin health and combat the signs of aging (fine lines, wrinkles and loss of volume and tone).

A detailed diagnostic face map will be done to pinpoint skin type, skin concerns and any areas that require more attention. With this information a facial treatment will be done with tailored skincare from Neal's Yard Remedies, Gua Sha tools and targeted massage techniques.

You will be shown facial exercises to create a facial fitness routine to do at home to really target those areas of concern on the face.

A follow up appointment will be organised to make sure you are getting the best out of your recommended skincare and exercises.

Fertility Reflexology

Reflexology can be a huge support to couples going through their fertility journey, helping to ease the anxiety of issues affecting conception and providing balance within the body for a range of hormonal and physical hurdles. Trying for a baby can be a very emotional and stressful time for some couples, especially if they feel there are factors inhibiting their success, whether it's low sperm count or irregular menstrual cycles, reflexology may help them to overcome these.

Reflexology cannot guarantee pregnancy but it can help to lay the groundwork for a more balanced body and mind. Consultation forms will be emailed for you and your partner to complete and send back, these will ask you about your current and past health, looking at all aspects that may be having an impact or hormone balance and egg/sperm production. Hot Stone Reflexology

The addition of warm stones to a reflexology treatment helps to take the benefits to a whole new level.

The use of warm and cool stones have been used for their therapeutic properties for centuries in ceremonies and massages, many cultures have used them for physical and spiritual healing. The stones used are basalt stones, naturally formed from cooled lava and tumbled into smooth shapes that retain their heat well when warmed.

The application of heat increases blood circulation, increases lymph function, relaxes muscle fibres and calms the peripheral nervous system.

The stones are heated in a special stone heating bag that doesn't use water, this is better suited to working in your home as it is safer and less messy that other methods of heating such as a water bath. An hour long treatment which incorporates an ankle/lower leg massage and reflexology with traditional thumb/finger walking, acupressure points and warm stones.

Contraindications

Although hot stone reflexology is beneficial for most people there are some conditions where the use of warm stones may not be suitable. These include:

Those on blood thinning medication
Varicose veins
Diabetes - peripheral neuropathy (loss of sensation).
Pregnancy
Recent injury to the treatment area
Any illness that results in loss of sensation to the treatment area.

Pregnancy Reflexology

Reflexology can be hugely beneficial for your physical and mental wellbeing during pregnancy, helping to ease discomfort, pain and provide relaxation.

With a tailored pregnancy reflexology treatment we aim to target areas specific to pregnancy related discomfort and provide relief from heartburn, anxiety, sleeplessness, muscular aches and pains, and water retention in lower limbs.

This is a mobile service which enables you to be in the comfort of your own home whilst relaxing in an ergonomic chair that supports your body, furnished with soft towels and cozy blankets.

The treatment will help to encourage a restful nights sleep whilst making you feel more energized the next morning.

Comprising of a luxurious reflexology treatment and lower leg massage with oils and waxes suitable for use in pregnancy for 1 hour and 20 minutes of bliss for £53.

Appointments can also be made once you are admitted to the antenatal ward in preparation for the birth of your baby to help relax and calm you. Please check with your midwife or consultant to make sure they are happy with me coming in to the hospital ward to see you.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that uses massage and pressure points on the feet, hands, ears or face to help treat a wide range of conditions. It has roots in ancient Egypt and China, but was shaped into a modern treatment by Dr William Fitzgerald who developed zone therapy and then Eunice Ingham who developed what we now know as modern reflexology in the 1930s.

Conditions that may benefit from reflexology are most stress related illnesses such as IBS, migraines and tension, as this therapy is very relaxing and can help to balance the body's systems. Many studies have shown that reflexology is as good as relieving pain as over the counter pain killers, such as paracetamol. In 2003, the NICE guidelines were updated to include recommendations of using reflexology to help pain in MS sufferers.

I have experience working on clients with a variety of health conditions including IBS, ulcerative colitis, hormonal issues (PMS, PMDD), autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis), stress and sleep problems.

A standard reflexology treatment lasts one hour long and only requires the patient to remove any footwear and socks. Make sure feet are clean and free from any wounds or infections before booking. An online consultation form will be emailed to you before each treatment asking for personal and medical information. A treatment plan of 4-6 reflexology sessions may be recommended to see improvements of some conditions and symptoms 2-4 weeks apart.

Please speak to your GP or consultant if you want to try reflexology alongside extensive medical treatment, such as chemotherapy, or for conditions such as heart conditions and epilepsy.
